Knock Knock… Who’s There?… Jars Of Clay
After a string of days in which I have been almost too tired to walk straight, today I finally felt a little closer to normal. It was a good day.
Psalm 5:4-8 — The Fear of the Lord Saves
4 For you are not a God who delights in wickedness;
evil may not dwell with you.
5 The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers.
6 You destroy those who speak lies;
the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
7 But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love,
will enter your house.
I will bow down toward your holy temple
in the fear of you.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies;
make your way straight before me.
Devotions Luther’s Way
I am going to be posting my daily devotions here, and I thought an explanation of my approach might be useful to anybody that happens to read them. It is a method that I picked up from Timothy Keller’s book on prayer… which he in turn picked up from a letter that Martin Luther wrote to his barber in the year 1535.
Stepping Intentionally
Inspiration can come from anywhere, or anyone. This week it came to me from Steven Pressfield. I just read through his book, The War of Art, and it is wonderful.
